Ingredients

  • 1 LB. (500g) GOOD QUALITY SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE
  • 1/4 CUP UNSALTED BUTTER
  • 2/3 CUP WHIPPING CREAM
  • 1/2 CUP FINELY CHOPPED TOASTED HAZELNUTS
  • SOFTLY WHIPPED CREAM TO SERVE

Preparation

Step 1

LINE BASE & SIDES OF AN 8 INCH SQUARE DISH WITH PLASTIC WRAP

IN A HEAT PROOF BOWL SET OVER A SAUCE PAN OF HOT NOT BOILLING WATER, MELT CHOCOLATE WITH BUTER UNTIL ALMOST SMOOTH.

REMOVE FROM HEAT. STIR UNTIL SMOOTH, WHISK IN CREAM UNTIL WELL COMBINED.

STIR IN ALL BUT 2 TBSP. HAZELNUTS.

POUT INTO PREPARED DISH SMOOTH SURFACE, SCATTER HAZELNUTS OVER TOP.

REFRIGERATE UNCOVERED, OVERNIGHT.

REMOVE FROM FRIDGE LET STAND 30 MINUTES. USE PLASTIC WRAP TO LIFT OUT.

CUT INTO 2 INCH SQUARES

SERVE WITH WHIPPED CREAM
