Herbed Chicken Fricassee

Ingredients

  • 2 T all purpose flour
  • 1/2 t Italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 4 skinless, bonelss chicken breat halves or 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs (1 lb)
  • 2 T margarine/butter
  • 1 - 10 3/4 oz cond cream broccoli soup
  • 1 - 16 oz stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • hot booked noodles or rice

Preparation

Step 1

On waxed paper, combine flour, Italian seasoning and peper. Coat chicken lightly with flour mixture.

In 10" skillet over med-high heat, in hot margaine, cook chicken 10 min oruntil chicken browned on both sides and no longer pink. Push chicken to one side. Spoon off fat.

Add soup and tomatoes, stirring to loosen browned bits. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 5 min or until hot and bubbling.

To serve, arrange chicken over noodles. Spoon sauce over chicken.
