Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups water or apple cider
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats, or pinhead oats
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Preparation

Step 1

1 Place all ingredients in cooking pot.

2 Lock lid in place.

3 Select Rice function, and set timer for 12 minutes.

4 When cooking is complete, and all pressure is released, remove lid.

Serve hot with milk or cream, if desired.

Note: These oats can be sweetened with honey or maple syrup and dried fruit. For an additional health benefit, add a tablespoon of
flax seed before serving.
