Sweet and Cakey cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tsp bkg powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp bkg soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup corn kernels
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tblsp melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375*
Grease an 8" square pan.
Whisk together dry ingredients. Beat the wet ingredients for 2 minutes. Mix the wet with the dry and then add the butter. Bake for 35 minutes.
