Steve's Famous Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 package of ground turkey (I use 20 ounces Turkey Store)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped (sometimes I use it, most times, I don’t)
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (more or less depending on your taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian spices
- 1 medium can of diced tomatoes garlic/Italian flavor
- 1 or 2 small cans of tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup of red wine
- pinch of sugar
- minors chicken base
- pepper and salt to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Spray bottom of frying pan with nonstick oil, and add olive oil
Add onions and garlic. Cook for five minutes. Add spices the last couple of minutes.
Take the ground turkey, add breadcrumbs and egg (you don’t have to use the egg)
and form meatballs. I microwave them for a few minutes to get rid of excess fat. Spray pan again, and add to frying pan, and sauté until brown. ( I create a spot for the meatballs, and spray there)
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine, sugar, and minors. Bring to a boil, then simmer for at least an hour, probably two. You can always add more minors for additional flavor.
