Caramel apple jam

This delicious jam is really different. It makes a great topper for a cream cheese bagel!

Ingredients
- 6 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp butter
- 1 package pectin
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Put the apples, water, and butter into saucepan. Cook over low heat until soft, but not mushy. Stir in pectin. Bring to a boil stirring constantly, add sugars and spices,return to boil, and boil for 1 minute.
Remove from pan, skim foam. Ladle into jars and process for 10 minutes.
