Thumbprint Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg and water for an egg wash
  • 1 cup coconut
  • Jam for filling

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven for 350*
Cream the butter and sugar, add the vanilla, add the flour and salt. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll into ball, then dip in egg and roll into coconut. Place onto cookie sheet. Press a thumb in the center and fill with jam.
Bake for 20-25 minutes
