Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs
Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine the corn meal,flour,baking powder,and salt.
2. Add the honey,oil,milk and eggs. Mix just enough to moisten the batter. Pour the batter into an oiled 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
3. Bake at 375 degree oven for 20-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes: This was GREAT! I love that it's with wheat flour instead of white. I only had a cup of regular whole wheat flour left, so I used whole wheat pastry flour for the other cup. Worked fine. Also used eggbeaters instead of eggs. Otherwise no other changes. Just delicious. Note that it makes a 9x13" pan - a lot of cornbread
