Hamburger Steaks with Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 egg land's best egg
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 envelope onion soup mix, divided
- dash pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 80-20
- 1/2 red bell pepper diced
- 1/2 onion diced
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 13/4 cups 1-3/4 cold water
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 package sliched mushrooms
- 1/2 onion sliced
- 1 jar brown gravy mix
- hot cooked mashed potato

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons soup mix and pepper.
Saute rep pepper and diced onion over medium heat, until soft.
Add to egg mixture.
In the same skillet saute the sliced onions and mushrooms until soft, set aside.
Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four to five patties.
In a large skillet, cook patties over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear.
Set aside and keep warm.
Combine the flour, water, Worcestershire sauce and remaining soup mix until blended; stir into skillet. Add the gravy mix, mushroom and sliced onions. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 5 minutes or until thickened.
Serve with patties and mashed potatoes. Yield: 4 - 5 servings.
