honey rosemary shortbread cookies

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 or 3 t. snipped rosemary
  • 3/4 cup butter,cut in 8 pieces
  • 3 T honey
  • 1 t. salt

Preparation

Step 1

in a large bowl combine flour,sugar,rosemary and saot.using pastry blender cut in butter until resembles coarse crumbs. using fork. stir in honey.knead in bowl until dough clings together.turn out onto floured board and knead by folding 4 to 6 times ,just until dough holds together. if necessary chill 30 min. in plastic wrap....on lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/4 inch thick.using round cookie cutter ..place 1 inch apart ungreased pan....325* 15 min or until edges are firm and tops are lightly brown
