Almond Crescents

Ingredients

  • 3 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cup almonds ground
  • 5 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix butter, sugar, almonds and salt together thoroughly. Then work in flour with hands. Chill dough. Pull off small pieces of chilled dough, and work with hands until pliable but not sticky.

Roll between palms into pencil thick strips and shape into small crescents on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 until set - not brown .

Remove from cookie sheets when cooled and roll in confectioner's sugar.
