Peanut Butter Temptations

Orinigal recipe from Marion Mallwitz.

I use the recipe to make easter basket cookies as well.

Ingredients

• 1/2 C. butter
• 1/2 C. peanut butter
• 1/2 C. sugar
• 1/2 C. brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 t. vanilla extract
• 1 1/4 C. sifted flour
• 3/4 t. baking soda
• 1/2 t. salt
• 1 (10 oz) bag peanut butter cups ( mini's)

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter, peanut butter and both sugars together. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture to make a dough. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place into UNGREASED 1 1/2 inch mini muffin tins. Bake 8-10 minutes or until they are slightly browned. Remove from oven immediately and place an unwrapped peanut butter cup into the center of the cookie. Cool 10 minutes then remove from tins.

To make Easter baskets: place mini M&M's on the top of the peanut butter cup and place a piece of pull and peel licorice on the top for a handle.
