Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cocoa
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1 tsp bkg powder
Preparation
Step 1
Sift the dry ingredients. Whip the egg whites with 1/4 cup of the sugar and set aside. Cream the butter and sugar till light. Add the eggs and beat till light. Add the vanilla. Alternate the flour with the buttermilk, then fold the whites in. Pour into prepared bundt pan and bake for 55-60 minutes @ 350*.
