Sausage Macaroni Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp chopped red pepper
  • 2 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 5 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion, and red pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add macaroni and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 7-8 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Stir in chili sauce and milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.

Remove from heat, sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
