Paulines New Orleans Pralines

This is a great recipe from Pauli when she lived in New Orleans. It is a very easy candy and great at Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tblsp. corn syrup
  • 4 cups pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Cook all except nuts in a Dutch oven for 20 minutes. Add the nuts and quickly spoon onto a silpat. If it gars too thick put it back on the burner for a moment and possibly add a little more milk.
