Swiss Butterhorns

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. Cinnamon
  • Frosting:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Milk
  • Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the cookie dough as you would a pie dough.refrigerate overnight. Roll out as you would for a pie. Then put the mixture of nuts, sugar and cinnamon on top. Now cut the dough into tingle shapes like a tiny croissant, roll as a croissant as well. Put them on a cookie sheet and bake at 350* for 12 minutes or so, you must watch them as they should not get too brown, and they need to cook in the center. Cool. Then glaze them in the frosting and set them to dry.
