Cranberry Nut Bread
This recipe yields one loaf of bread
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup orange juice plus 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup raw cranberries, cut in halves - Can also use dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Mix together the egg, sugar and butter.
Add dry ingredients alternately with orange juice mixture
Blend in the cranberries and walnuts.
Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour.
