Plain Dinner Rolls
- 2 Dry Active yeast
- 1/2 c Water
- 2 C Milk Scalded
- 1/4 c Sugar
- 1/4 c Butter
- 2 t Salt
- 7 c Sifted Flour
- 2 Eggs
Soften yeast in warm water.
Combine scalded milk, butter, sugar, salt. Cool to lukewarm.
Add 2 c flour, beat well. Beat in softened yeast and eggs.
Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough, beat well.
Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place. (Towel over the bowl and place on top
Turn out on lightly floured surface and shape as desired. Place in baking pans, let rise
again until doubled in size.
Bake 400 deg. about 12 mins.
May brush risen rolls lightly with 1 egg yolk + 2T milk and sprinkle with seeds.
