Artisan double cherry pie

Ingredients

  • 2 12 oz. Packages frozen cherries
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 tblsp. Minute tapioca
  • 1/2 tsp. Almond extract
  • 1 tsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. Lemon zest
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup 100% knudsun black cherry juice
  • 1 oz. Cherry flavored brandy
  • 2 tblp. Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except butter in a large bowl. Pour into pie dough,add dotted butter. Place top crust, vented or lattice. Sanding sugar is a nice touch. Bake @ 350* for 45 minutes
Then turn down to 350* for additional 45 minutes
