Grilled pork chops with healthy fries, salad and fruit

  • Grilled pork chop:
  • 2 cups mixes salad greens
  • 1 cup fresh vegetable of choice
  • 1 tbsp salad dressing, low fat or nonfat; low sodium
  • 1 serving bread of choice
  • 1 serving fruit of choice
  • 3 oz lean, boneless pork chop
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp hot sayce



Step 1

Preheat either grill or broiler. Rinse and pat dry the pork chop. Set aside. whist olive oil, hot sauce and spices together in a pie plate or small platter; add pork chop and coat. If possible, cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate and let marinate for about 30 minutes. Grill pork chop, reserving marinade, approximately 6-8 inches from heat source for 5-7 minutes, then turn and baste with remaining marinade. Cook an additional 5-7 minutes or until inside is no longer pink. Serve. discard any leftover marinade.
