Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 C Sugar
• 1 C shortening
• 2 eggs
• 2 C applesauce
• 2 tsp soda
• 3 1/2 C flour
• 2 tsp nutmeg
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 C quick oats
• 3/4 tsp allspice

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugar and shortening - beat eggs and add to sugar mixture. Add soda to applesauce and add to mixture. Sift flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon, and add. Add other ingredients until well moistened.

Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 325 degrees for 10 minutes.
