Ingredients

  • 2 T. butter
  • 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 t. minced fresh thyme or 1/4 t. dried thyme
  • 3/4 t. lemon juice
  • 3/4 t. hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 t. water

Step 1

Cook mushrooms and onion in butter until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cool completely.
Unfold one pastry sheet. Spread half mushroom mix to within 1/2 inch of edges. Roll up left & right sides toward center, jelly roll style, until roll meets in middle. Cut into 24 slices. Repeat with remaining mix.
Place on greased baking sheets. Brush with egg & water mix. Bake at 400 15-20 min. until golden.
