French Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 4.4 Cups Apples - sliced ( Granny Smith )
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 TBSP Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 TBSP Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 Cup Sifted Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar - packed
  • 1/3 Cup Butter - softened
  • 1/3 Cup Walnuts - chopped (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all pie ingredients together & fold into a 9 inch pastry lined pie pan.

Topping:
Blend flour with brown sugar & butter until crumbly.
Mix in nuts. Sprinkle over apple mixture in pan.

Bake 15 minutes at 425` reduce heat to 350` & bake 45 minutes more.
