Corned beef and cabbage (slow cooker)

Ingredients
- 6 carrots, cut into chunks
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2-3 corned beef brisket w/ seasoning packet
- 12 oz can beer
- 2 t. yellow mustard
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. water
- 8 wedges of cabbage

Preparation
Step 1
1) in crockpot, combine carrots and onions. rinse corned beef under cold, running water and pat dry. place in crockpot and cover with seasoning packet. pour beer over brisket and spread mustard on top.
2) in small bowl, mix brown sugar and water; pour over brisket.
3) cover and cook low 8-10 hours
4) remove brisket and cover with foil to keep warm. add cabbage wedges to vegetables and liquid in pot; cover and cook 30-40 minutes til cabbage is a crisp tender
5)cut brisket across the grain into thin slices. top with vegetables
