Irresistible Jif Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 3/4 cups Jiffy creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco all vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3 tbs milk
  • 1 tbs vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375*. Combine Jiffy peanut butter, Crisco, light brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg, beat just until blended. Combine flour, salt and baking soda, add to creamed mixture at low speed, mix just until blended. Drop by heaping tsp 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie baking sheet. Flatten slightly in criss-cross pattern with tines of fork. Bake at 375 for 7 to 8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
