Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 4 large eggs
- 1-29 ounce pumpkin pie filling
- 2-12 ounce evaporated milk
- 2 unbaked deep dish pie shells
Preparation
Step 1
Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie shells. Bake in preheated oven at 425* for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 bake 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
3 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice may be substituted for the cinnamon, ginger and cloves. However the taste may be different.
