Fish - Fish Tacos with Avocado Sauce

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-pound halibut or tilapia fillets, thick fillets (any white fish)
  • half medium ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat mayo
  • 1 Tbsp limejuice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp-dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp-dried parsley flakes
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • Salsa:
  • 2 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 mango or pineapple or papaya, chopped
  • 1-1/2 tsp limejuice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • Tacos:
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage*this is a must*

Step 1


In a large reseal able plastic bag, combine the lemon juice, oil and garlic. Add fish fillets; seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 30min. Grill on BBQ until cooked, shred and place on platter.

For salsa, peel and cube 1.5 to 2 avocados. Cube and seed 2 tomatoes, cube mango, pineapple or papaya add together in a small bowl. Add lime juice, garlic and salt to tomato mixture and mix.

For sauce; in a bowl mash 1/2 avocado and stir in remaining sauce ingredients. Place tortillas in tinfoil, place in oven for 5 min at 350 degrees
