Missy’s Cornbread Surprise

Ingredients

• 1 box of Cornbread Mix
• o 1/3 C Milk
• o 1 egg
• 1 lb of Ground Beef
• 1 bag of Corn
• 1 can of Salsa (Pace)
• 1-2 cups of Cheese
• 1/2 tsp-1 tsp cayenne pepper
• Sour Cream (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
Corn Bread Mix: Make the cornbread as directed on the box. Stir in cheese.
Ground Beef mix: Cook the ground beef. Add in cayenne pepper & corn, cook until corn is done. Turn off the heat. Mix in salsa.
In a casserole dish, pour in the ground beef mix. On top of that, pour on the cornbread mix. Cook in oven uncovered until cornbread is fully baked (poke in the center with a toothpick and it comes out clean…approx. 15-20 min). Let cool and serve with sour cream (optional). Enjoy!
