Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk [1/2 buttermilk and 1/2 regular]
- 3 large crushed pineapple drained
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups plus 1/2 stick butter
- Dash of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla beat for smoothness
- Stack 1st layer put pineapple on cake drizzle & smooth frosting over pineapple let cool before stacking next layer. Repeat layers then spread frosting on the sides. Will run off but keep spreading back on until it coats.
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter until fluffy. Mix sugar and vanilla then add 1 egg at a time beat well with each. Sift dry ingredients add alternating milk mix well. Makes 4 layers. Bake at 325*.
