Beef Burgundy

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1-1/4 lbs flank steak
  • 1-1/4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 1 jar (12 oz) Heinz Homestyle Brown Gravy
  • 3 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash pepper
  • Hot Buttered noodles
  • chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

Step 1

Cut steak diagonally across the grain into slices
1/8-inch thick 2-inches long.Set aside.Place mushrooms and onion in a 2-qt casserole.Cover dish with waxed paper.Microwave at high 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 minutes.Drain.Add meat.Cover and microwave at high 3 to 4 minutes,stirring,twice.Meat may still be pink.Combine gravy,wine,salt and pepper,stir into meat mixture.Cover and microwave at high 4 to 6 minutes or until heated through,stirring,twice.Serve over noodles.Sprinkle with parsley.
