Ingredients

  • 1 8oz. package cream cheese
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 2 T. butter
  • 3/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped 1/8 t. thyme
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1.5 t. flour
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Step 1

In medium bowl mix cream cheese & butter until well blended. Mix in flour, pat into ball and refrigerate.
Melt 2 T. butter in large skillet. Add mushrooms & onion. Season with thyme, slat & pepper. Cook & stir until tender/ Sprinkle flour over everything so it won't get lumpy, then reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream. Heat just until thickened, then remove from heat.
Preheat oven to 350. In lightly floured surface roll out dough to ~ 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into 3 inch rounds. Place small amount of mushroom mix on each circle, fold dough over & press to seal. Prick tops with fork and place on baking sheet. (CAN BE FROZEN AT THIS POINT)
Bake 15 min. until golden. If baking from frozen they may take 20 min. to cook.
