Ingredients
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg Sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup oats
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ginger
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar and shortening, beat until creamy. Stir in egg and molasses. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt, add to the mixture and mix well. Chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350*. Grease cookie sheet, roll into 1 inch balls and roll into sugar. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly brown. Let stand 5 minutes.
