Scottish Steak Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 lb. beef cubed into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 sm. onion, chopped
  • 4-5 carrots, cut into 6-8 pieces
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp. Gravy Master or Kitchen Bouquet
  • Pie crust, enough for 1 crust

Preparation

Step 1

Add vegetable oil to cooker and rrown beef cubes.
Place onions, carrots and beef broth in pressure cooker.
Add Gravy Master or kitchen bouquet.
Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
Use rapid pressure release and carefully remove cover after pressure
is released.
Using a slotted spoon, place beef, carrots in deep dish pie plate.
Next thicken gravy with your favorite method of thickening.
Then pour over top of meat.
Cover pie with pie crust and cut 4 one inch slits in top of crust for
venting.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes or until crust is done.
