Apple Cinnamon Syrup

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apple juice
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 cups corn syrup
  • 3 cinnamon sticks broke in half
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Simmer apple juice and cinnamon sticks for 5 minutes. In a large pan boil sugar and water until 260*. Add the boiled apple juice and corn syrup to sugar and water. Boil for 5 minutes, remove cinnamon sticks. Stir in lemon juice, ladle hot mixture into safe jars. Leave 1/4 inch head space at the top. Place lids on jars. Boil jars in water for 10 minutes. Note store open jars of syrup in refrigerator.
