Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1/2 stick butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups plus 1 tsp flour, divided
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries and blackberries)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 stick cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup flour
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9-by-9-inch square pan.
In a large mixing bowl, blend softened butter and sugar with a spoon. Add egg, vanilla, 2 cups flour, baking powder and milk. Mix until blended.
In a separate bowl, mix together frozen berries and 1 tsp flour. Add berries to the batter and mix gently. Pour into the prepared pan.
Combine the topping ingredients in a bowl and blend until crumbly. Spread evenly over the batter.
Bake on the middle oven rack for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
