Preparation

Step 1

TIME TO BAKE

Preheat the oven to 300 Degrees

Now that you have the Dry Rub on your Ribs, you need to wrap each Rack separately in foil.

Wrap them up tightly in an envelope fashion so the heat and steam stay inside. This step is VERY IMPORTANT. Don’t try to cut corners and throw one piece of foil over the whole works…wrapping each Rack individually is what makes these Ribs perfect and falling off the bone.

Put the Ribs in the Pre-heated oven and set the timer to bake for 2- ½ hours.

While the Ribs are baking, you need to get your BBQ sauce ready. If you have a favorite store bought BBQ sauce you can use that or follow this recipe for BBQ Whiskey Sauce:

BBQ WHISKEY SAUCE RECIPE

2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
½ Cup Diced Onion
½ Cup Tomato Paste
1-1/2 Cups Water
½ Cup White Wine Vinegar
½ Cup Brown Sugar
2-1/2 Tablespoons Honey
2 Teaspoons Salt
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
¼ Teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper
1 ½ Teaspoons Liquid Smoke
2 Tablespoons Whiskey
2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
¼ Teaspoon Paprika
1 Tablespoon Dark Molasses
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
BBQ WHISKEY SAUCE DIRECTIONS

Heat oil in a medium saucepan, over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Stir in the water and the tomato paste. Next add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce heat. Simmer for about an hour or until the sauce thickens, then remove from the heat and set aside.

NOW TO FINISH YOUR RIBS

Remove the Ribs from the oven when cooking time is up. Let them stand for 10 minutes while still wrapped in the foil.

Preheat your gas grill on high.

Un-wrap the ribs from the foil. Grill the Ribs for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Just before taking the Ribs off the grill, brush them liberally on both sides with the BBQ sauce.

The sauce will start to carmelize and then your Ribs are done!

Let’s EAT!
