Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup butter/softened
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325* spray 2 12 cup muffin pan.

In a small bowl combine brown sugar, almonds and cinnamon.
In a medium bowl combine flour,baking powder and baking soda.

In a large bowl beat butter and sugar at med speed until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour mix, alternately with sour cream beginning and ending with flour mix. Beating JUST UNTIL COMBINED after each addition. Stir in vanilla.

Spoon half batter evenly into muffin tins. Sprinkle half of brown sugar mix over batter. Spoon remaining batter into cup. Sprinkle with the other half of brown sugar mix over the batter.

Bake for 20-24 minutes or until center toothpick comes out clean. let cool in pans for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
