Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-3 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs, separated
Preparation
Step 1
Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Mix egg yolks and milk; add to dry ingredients and beat together thoroughly. I find a whisk works best.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Stir 1/4 of the egg whites into the batter to lighten it, then gently fold in the rest.
For each waffle, use a scant 1/2 cup of batter into your hot waffle iron and bake according to manufacturer's directions.
