STAMP OF APPROVAL SPAGHETTI SAUCE

Got the recipe from my mom....

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3/4 pound italian sausage
  • 4 medium onions, chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cans diced tomatoes - 14 oz
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup worchestire
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp minced fresh basil or 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh oregano - or 1 tsp dried
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In dutch oven cook the beef, sausage and onions over medium heat until no longer pink. Add garlic - cook 1 minute longer.

Tranfer to slow cooker and cook 8-10 hours on low. Discard bay leaves. Serve with pasta.
