CREAM PUFF CAKE

Got this recipe from my mom...

Ingredients

  • FILLING:
  • CRUST
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pkg cream cheese
  • 2 1/2 cups 2% milk
  • 3 pakgs instant white chocolate or vanilla pudding
  • 1 carton of Cool Whip - 8 oz

Preparation

Step 1

CRUST:

Combine water and butter and bring to boil. Add flour all at once and stir till a smooth ball forms. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating till smooth and shiny.

Transfer to a greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 400 for 22-26 minutes till puffed and golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack.

FILLING:

Beat cream cheese and milk and pudding till smooth. Spread over the crust and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Spread with whipped topping. Chill until serving.
