Mexican cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tblsp sugar
  • 4 tsp bkg powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk, or buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tblsp chopped jalepeno

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat to 425*
grease 8" pan
Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar,bkg powder, and salt. To dry mixture add egg ,milk,sour cream, oil, and peppers. Pour into pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes
