Ingredients

  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, finely chopped
  • 1 3/4 cups panko bread crumbs, divided
  • 2 TBS milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp chopped fresh sage
  • 1 /2 tsp salt
  • Dash of black pepper
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 1/2 TBS canola oil, divided

Step 1

Heat 1 tsp oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic; saute 10 minutes. Combine with turkey, 1/4 cup bread crumbs and next 6 ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Shape mixture into 12 patties and press 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs onto the patties. Heat 3 3/4 tsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3 minutes on each side or til golden.
