Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen Indian Trail Cranberry with Orange, thawed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 cup evaported milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Cream the sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in CRANBERRY WITH ORANGE and nuts. Sift flour with salt and soda. Add lemon juice to evaported milk, stirring until smoothly blended. Add dry ingredients alternately with the soured milk to first mixture, beginning and ending with dry. (Batter will be thick.) Turn into a baking pan 12 x 7 1/2: x 1 1/2; lined on the bottom with waxed paper, smoothing batter evenly.

Bake in a 350 degree oven until cake springs back when touched lightly with finger, about 45 to 50 minutes.

When cool frost with Orange Butter Icing.
