Brown Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup crisco
• 1/2 cup softened butter
• 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar firmly packed
• 1 large egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Beat together crisco, butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Shape dough into 1" balls and place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 12-14 mins or until golden brown. Remove to cooling rack after 1 min.
