Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 - 1 lb. sausage (use 1 lb.)
  • 1 minced onion (2-1/2" diameter)
  • 1-4 oz. can drained mushrooms
  • 1 cup rice (converted)
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Cook rice in 2-1/2 cups boiling salted water. Brown sausage until cooked add onions and mushrooms, cook about 10 mins. Add other ingredients. Put in casserole and top with slivered almonds. Bake at 350 until hot throughout - almonds are turning light brown.
