chocolate & macadamia nut brownies

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 8 squares semi sweet chocolate cut up
  • 3/4 cup macadamia nut , roughly chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 350 melt butter and chocolate together in bowl over a pan of simmering water until smooth and glossy .let cool slightly.toast macadamia nuts on a baking tray in the oven for 5 min. until just golden brown .

beat sugar and eggs together in a large bowl.carefully stir in chocolate mixture. fold in flour , baking powder, and salt ,and stir in chopped nuts.

line the bottom of 8 inch square, non stick pan that is at least 2 in deep . pour in cake batter and bake 30-35 min leave to cool in pan .
