Soups: Hannah's Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

  • Cornstarch
  • Broccoli
  • bouillon cubes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 t celery salt or chopped celery
  • 1/8 t garlic powder
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 3/4 t Worcesteshire sauce
  • Black pepper
  • 1/3 cup non-fat dry milk
  • 2 T milk
  • 2-3 T butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cornstarch with 2 T cold water
Cook broccoli, adding bouillon cubes, onion, celery, garlic powder, nutmeg, Worcesteshire sauce and black pepper.
Bring to a boil then simmer for 10 minutes.
Put mixture in blender for a pureed soup.
Add cornstarch with non-fat dry milk, milk and butter.
Do not boil.
