Ingredients

  • 4

    pounds sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed

  • cup bourbon (optional) I left this out for us, Abby doesn’t like the taste

  • ¼

    cup orange juice (use ½ cup if not using bourbon)

  • ¼ to ½

    cup melted butter

  • cup packed brown sugar

  • ¾

    tsp salt

  • ½

    tsp pie spice (or a mix of cinnamon, ground ginger, and nutmeg)

  • ¾

    cup pecan halves

Directions

Mix together everything except pecans. Pour into greased (PAM) 2 ½ quart casserole. Arrange pecans around edges in a border. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
