Ingredients
- 3 c flour
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 c Earth Balance (or butter)
- 1 c almond milk (also can use regular milk or buttermilk)
- 1 1/4 c fresh chopped cranberries
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400º F
-Combine the first four ingredients in a bowl, then add the Earth balance or butter to make a crumbly mixture
-Mix in the cranberries, then gradually add the milk as you mix
-One a dough is formed, place it on a surface to knead (I used about 1/4 -1/3 cup more flour here), adding more flour if too wet to knead
-Pound the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick, then cut into 6 or 8 wedges
-Place the dough on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden
