Ingredients

  • 2 lbs jumbo shrimps, sheeled and de-veined, tail left on
  • 1 large clove garlic, crushed
  • salt
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more to taste)
  • garlic butter
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 large garlic clove, crushed
  • hot pepper sauce to taste

Preparation:
In a non-reactive bowl, combine crushed garlic, salt, lemon juice, olive oil and cayenne pepper. Put shrimp in bowl; stir to coat well. cover and refrigerate forup to 1 hour. Heat grill or broiler (low for about 5 minutes total). Thread marinated shrimp onto skewers and grill 5-6 inches from heat for about 3-5 minutes each side, or until shrimp is cooked through. If broiling, remove tails. Serve shrimp with garlic butter for dipping.

Garlic Butter:
In a small saucepan, melt butter; add remaining ingredients. Heat through.
